Ewan P. Plant, Ph.D.

Ewan received his undergraduate degrees and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The University of Otago in New Zealand.  After finishing his Ph.D. he took a postdoctoral fellowship in Dr. Dinman’s lab at The University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey lab in the fall of 2000.  He later transferred to the University of Maryland in 2002 to continue his research in Dr. Dinman's laboratory.  He is currently working on the mechanisms of programmed ribosomal frameshifting: how mRNA pseudoknots effect frameshifting events (see the Research page).
